In an effort to break stigmas around mental health and prevent suicide, Stigma Breakers was initially formed as a weekly support group for individuals who have been diagnosed with acute stress, anxiety, depression, and/or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) by Lisa L. Gilliam and Ashley Lockley. Although scheduling prohibited the support group from continuing, it did not stop Lisa and Ashley from educating, speaking, and training about these and other mental health related topics. Their desire to see stigmas broken around mental health and educate about suicide prevention has allowed them to now form The Stigma Breakers' Collective (TSBC). Now, TSBC is comprised of Lisa, Ashley, and Dhayna Parker who work with other like-minded individuals, businesses, and/or organizations that also seek to break the stigmas often associated with mental health. If you are looking for a speaker for a mental health related topic, look no further! Press on the booking "button" below to book us individually or collectively for your event.
