Relationships and Suicide Prevention: A Virtual Live Podcast Event with The Stigma Breakers' Collective

 — (EDT, UTC-04) — (EDT, UTC-04)

Online, Maryland

Relationships and Suicide Prevention: A Vritual Live Podcast Event with The Stigma Breakers' Collective is a transparent discussion about preventing suicide after the loss of various relationships. This is often a taboo subject, but this year, we wanted to bring it to the forefront. The ending of a relationship can be difficult, but we want you to begin to heal, move forward (which is different from moving on), learn to celebrate life again while you grieve the loss or death of the relationship and prevent suicide.

According to the AFSP.org, on average  1 person dies every 8 days from suicide in Washington, DC,  1 person dies by suicide every 14 hours in Maryland, and 1 person dies by suicide every 7 hours in Virginia. Since  May is Mental Health Awareness month we are are inviting Church Community Leaders and Mental Health Professionals to participate in our Mental Health and Ministry Forum- A discussion about finding ways to work together to help our community and learn more about mental health.
